How credits work

Credits are how you spend a plan. 100 credits tracks a case and opens its full request kit, permanently.

100 credits
One case, full kit, kept forever
2× cap
Rollover ceiling on plan credits
90 days
Plan credits expire, oldest spent first

Details

Worth knowing before you pay

What do credits actually buy?
100 credits tracks a case and unlocks its full request kit: the drafted letter, the verified agency and records contact, the request method, fee and timeline estimates, the state-law context and the denial risk. Unlocked once, yours permanently — re-opening a case you have already tracked never costs again.
Do unused credits roll over?
Yes, up to a cap of 2× your monthly grant. The cap means an active member is never penalised for a quiet month, while a dormant account cannot bank a year of credits and spend them in a single afternoon.
When do credits expire?
Each month’s plan credits expire 90 days after they are granted. The oldest credits are always spent first, so a credit never quietly expires while a newer one sits unused.
What if I run out before the month is up?
Buy a top-up from your account at any time: 500 credits for $59, or 1,500 credits for $149. Purchased credits last 12 months and are exempt from the rollover cap, because you paid cash for them. Per case kit they are deliberately priced above both plans — a top-up is an overflow valve, not a cheaper way to buy volume.
Are my requests private?
No, and no service can make them so. A public-records request is itself a public record: agencies may log it, publish it, or disclose it to someone who requests their request log. Requests go from your own mailbox under your own name — you are the requester of record. Bodycam Stock is lower-profile than filing through a public request platform, but that is not anonymity and should not be relied on as such.
What about redaction and denial?
Both are common, and neither is under our control. Agencies decide what to release, what to blur or withhold, what to charge, and what to refuse outright. Every kit carries a denial-risk rating and the exemptions most likely to be cited, so you can judge before spending a credit — but obtainability is an estimate of likelihood, never a promise of release.
Can I cancel?
Yes, from your account at any time through the billing portal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and cases you have tracked stay unlocked.

Built for responsible public-records work.

Requests remain public records, and agencies control review, redaction, fees, and release decisions. Bodycam Stock helps users research and manage requests; it does not guarantee footage access or provide legal advice.
