Terms of Service

Bodycam Stock finds police incidents likely to have body-worn camera footage, estimates how obtainable that footage is under state public-records law, and prepares request materials — drafted letters, agency contacts, fee and timeline estimates. You send the request yourself and remain the requester of record.

Bodycam Stock is not a law firm and nothing on this site is legal advice. Letters and estimates are drafted from public statute profiles for you to review, edit, and sign. Requests are never sent on your behalf — you press send, from your own mailbox, and you are the requester of record. You are responsible for the truthfulness of every statement in a request you send, including your identity details and stated intended use.

Subscriptions grant monthly credits. Subscription credits expire 90 days after they are granted and roll over up to 2× your monthly grant. Credits purchased as a one-off top-up expire 12 months after purchase and are not subject to the rollover cap. All credits are spent oldest-first and have no cash value. Except where the law requires otherwise, subscription fees, top-up purchases and spent credits are not refundable.

Don’t use Bodycam Stock to harass, dox, or target private individuals; don’t misrepresent your identity or purpose in a records request; don’t attempt to access other members’ data. We may suspend accounts that do.

Whether footage is released, and in what form, is the agency’s decision under state law. Our obtainability scores, fee and timeline estimates, and denial-risk ratings are informed estimates, not promises. Footage in the library was obtained via public records requests and comes with its provenance; your use of it — including monetization and platform compliance — is your responsibility.

The service is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
